Busy

Busy day today. Was a volunteer in a marathon to raise money. Played Modern Warfare 3 with cousin, I ended up losing 5-8, then managed to convince him to play that Survival mode or whatever. That was fun, I like being good at things that I’m not really that good at. Then went to a family gathering, ate tasty food, trying my hardest to watch dramas, but just couldn’t get myself to take the characters seriously because about 5 people tragically die in every episode, and when someone wasn’t dying or crying or having this intense staring competition with someone, they were riding motorcycles and talking about the weather. I’m not active, but I played this really fun game of hide-and-seek in the apartment (which you’re not supposed to do, especially a teen like me…) with my cousins, but then they left. Then I remembered that I’ve got an English test tomorrow.

Oh god, please let a blanket of snow fall from the sky and just cover everything, and please make it so thick that no bus can come so that I can have a snow day. I really like English, but all I’ve done in preparation is memorized the most common literary devices, I still need to know the elements of a short story and all that other stuff. When I say blanket of snow falling from the sky, I mean, um, if you’ve read the graphic novels Bone, in the first book, at around the middle there’s a page that shows a blanket of snow falling on the lovable protagonist. I sound so stupid, I haven’t read the Bone books for a while now, I managed to read them all in September when I found the whole series in my school library.

I’m hoping that tomorrow I’ll be able to watch an independent British comedy. I don’t know why, but something about independent British comedies that revolve mostly around the coming-of-age genre interests me. What am I saying?! The teen genre is pretty closely linked to coming-of-age. I sound like an idiot.

I should probably stop typing and try to review short stories for my test. Okay, bye.

Nothing to say, just amazed at nature.

Charles Mingus - Moanin’ (by mohammertime)

Beautiful, lively, accessible.

I guess…

…This is also kind of supposed to, like, be a blog or something. So I’m going to blog. Me and my friends went to a Lamborghini showing the other day. Some guy was trying to sell the cars, and I guess he felt sorry for five or six kids wearing hoodies standing out in the cold taking pictures so he let us in. I’m not a fan of cars and I don’t really understand when people get ecstatic over seeing a car, but the cars looked nice, and I’d never anything like them before. They were really small though. My little sister (7) is taller than the car. Something unrelated that I’ve gotta mention: I’m listening to Moanin’ by Mingus Big Band and it is absolutely amazing, someone commented that the intro was the one of the dirtiest pieces of music every written, and that’s absolutely true.

Franz Ferdinand (2004) (by lbrione)

Possibly one of the most energetic album I’ve ever heard.

Beginning

This is the beginning, it was a nice day today. Tumblr site, and listening to Franz Ferdinand’s debut album: Franz Ferdinand.
